A great summer vacation
I just returned from the greatest summer vacation! It was so fantastic, I never wanted it to end. I spent eight days in Paris, France. 1.1_____ We had a beautiful hotel room in the Latin Quarter, and it wasn't even expensive. We had a balcony with a wonderful view.
We visited many famous tourist places. 1.2______ The museum is so huge, you could spend weeks there. Henry got tired walking around the museum and said "Enough! I need to take a break and rest.”
We took lots of breaks and sat in cafes along the river Seine. The French food we ate was delicious. The wines were tasty, too. 1.3______ He said he would be happy if he could eat croissants like those forever. We had so much fun that we're already talking about our next vacation!

The Wáura is a tribe in Central Brazil. They are in one of the thickest areas of the Amazon Rainforest. They have got their own language and their own way of life.
The Wáura are very short and have got straight, black hair. The men have got faces with black patterns on and the women have got red patterns on their bodies. The Wáura are famous for their necklaces and bracelets. There are many different colours to choose from - red, yellow and black are the most popular. The paint on their bodies and jewellery are a sign of beauty and wealth.
They haven’t got TVs or electronic games. So, what sports and hobbies are there? First of all, the Upper Xingu River is the best place to catch fish, which the Wáura are very good at. On special days of the year, there are dances and music to celebrate. Also, Brazil is famous for its beautiful pottery and the best pottery in the area is from the Wáura tribe.
